Style of event: Charity fundraising dinner

Client brief: Drinks reception followed by a three course dinner and dancing
How Richmond met the brief:
Richmond were delighted to be asked to cater for the Mayor of Enfield’s Charity Spring Ball at Forty Hall Banqueting Suite, a beautiful Grade I listed building in Enfield. As the event was in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities, the budget was limited so we worked closely to devise a cost effective event package which included venue hire, drinks and a three course menu.
Despite an unseasonably cold March it was classed as a ‘spring’ event, so we decorated the hall with colourful daffodils and pastel pink and white balloons.
We negotiated special use of Forty Hall House, not usually available for event hire, for the arrival drinks reception. This formed a grand back drop for the Mayor and her guests and created more space in the Banqueting Suite to accommodate the high number of attendees.
On the evening the Mayor’s limousines drove right up to the front door of Forty Hall House to deliver the Hostess. Guests arrived to a glass of bucks fizz and nibbles, with dinner served shortly after in the Banqueting Suite. The Jacobean Coach House looked stunning – it was simply decorated, but effective.
A fundraising raffle took place after the meal to raise money for the Mayor’s chosen charities and an instant photography service provided guests with a lasting memory of the evening. Live entertainment kept them dancing into the early hours.
A great evening was had by all!
