Fit for a King!
Style of event: Tudor themed 40th Birthday party
Location: The Stationers’ Hall, London
Client brief: To provide a Tudor themed birthday party with South African wines, table décor and costumed staff
We took our inspiration from a site visit to Hampton Court Palace where we took pictures of the luxury tables adorned with fruits, spices and silver.
The food was luxurious and full of game meat to suit the theme. Our staff dressed as ‘wenches’ served canapés on chequer boards and drinks from goblets.
The client was from South Africa so wanted us to menu match the wines.
To finish the theming we provided ornate candelabras, fresh loaves of bread, silver fruit bowls filled with fresh fruits, cinnamon sticks and spices, hessian table runner and napkins, jellies, pies and bavarois, cloved oranges and gourdes.
