Design by Shanghai
Style of event: Canapé reception
Location: Freemason’s Hall
Client brief: A themed canapé and drinks reception for 80 VIP guests.
How Richmond met the brief:
As part of the Shanghai Fashion Week, Freemason’s Hall in Covent Garden was selected to present the collection ‘Design by Shanghai’ and the leading Chinese designer Ji Cheng. We were delighted to provide the catering serviced for a VIP evening reception which was held during the busy London Fashion Week.
Mirroring the passion and creativity of Ji Cheng was essential to our success as the event was highly publicised with many photographers in attendance to take pictures of the VIP guests as they arrived. Our theme for the evening was based on the Far Eastern origins of the designs which included a selection of oriental canapés.
On arrival guests were greeted with a glass of our best NV Brugnon Champagne and offered oriental canapés from art deco canapé trays which enhanced the features of the venue. The canapés were enjoyed by all with the ice cold melon and ginger shots proving to me a particular hit!
As more and more people arrived, a real sense of excitement grew; laughter and energy reverberated through the building in anticipation of the show ahead. Guests were dressed to impress with studded leather jackets, high heels and unique hair styles in abundance.
Once they had had their fill of canapés and bubbly, they were invited to experience and enjoy the latest pieces by Ji Cheng, the leading designer in China!
