How Richmond met the brief:
When we were asked to supply the catering and entertainment in celebration of a Barmitzvah we jumped at the opportunity to create something that was colourful and memorable for the whole family and their guests.
After an initial meeting with our client, we invited them to join us for a special food tasting session at Glaziers Hall where they selected the following menu:
Trio of seasonal melons with berries
Warm plum tomato tatin on a baby spinach and red chard salad with balsamic dressing
Sole and salmon served with a dill and white wine sauce, new potatoes, wilted spinach and Mediterranean vegetables
Rich warm chocolate cake with white chocolate sauce
Orange pannacotta with caramel oranges and orange crisps
Costa Rica coffee
We were asked to source and supply the Challah, a special Jewish braided bread eaten on the Sabbath and holidays, which we served after the starter. Our client also requested Winter Pimm’s for the adults to enjoy!
To add personality to the occasion, rainbow coloured table cloths decorated the tables and bars and mirrors, cacti and coloured balloons enhanced the decorative theme.
It was a fine spring April day so the children played garden bowls and giant Connect 4 on the lawn outside. We also set up and ran games in the lounge including air hockey, table football and casino tables.
‘We had a wonderful evening and the staff, service and food were all great.’
